1. It started with my constant compulsive thinking over things in my life—— annoyed and frustrated, yet I could never stop. Why would my mind overwhelm me with meaningless repetition--
Click. What if it’s not the mind that crumbles over me, but embraced all the ‘me’s in the world, all versions of ‘me’ and all ‘I’ have encountered. That’s when I realized the constant repetition is like putting together puzzles, and with the repetitions, you see the unrevealed.
2. It seems like a repetition, but it’s never the same. Every once more, it’s a process toward an unknown place. With that thought in mind, I hand-wrote the one sentence over and over again till I pieced pictures of myself together.
3. Different mediums convey “the same thing” very differently. Along with the repetition of the same words with digital and physical mediums, with refraction and color filtering, when moving to different angles, different things happen.
There seems to be a right answer to the illusion puzzle, but you can always choose to see it from a different angle. At some moment, a face murmuring the sentence appears; at some angle, only scattered pieces and layered colors and light are seen.
4. Nevertheless, delve into the repetition (or not), and let the mind embrace whatever it captures.
